Bet you didn't know by Fear359 (f/m, qs, grim) "Dave, you are so full of shit it ain't even funny! There is nothing out in that forest. You are just trying to scare Stacy and me. I don't believe a word you say!" "Come, Debbie! I ain't lying about this. There is something out there, and everyone that goes out there never comes back." "Deb, Dave is right. I have heard a lot of weird things about that forest. People go in but they don't come back out. It's like a roach motel or something." "Come on Stacy, there is nothing wrong with that forest. Just a bunch of people making up stories and crap like that." "Well Debbie, you believe what you want to believe. But I'm telling you that something is not right with that forest. Whether you believe me or not that's up to you." "Ah, Christ, Dave! I'll prove to you that there is nothing out in those woods, and Stacy will go with me! And when we come back you'll see once and for all that those stories are just that: stories!" "Now wait a minute, Debbie! What makes you think that I want to go in the creepy ass forest with you? I do not want to go in there and never come out again. No way! No how, not now, not ever!" "Are you scared, Stacy?" "You bet your ass I'm scared, Debbie! I don't have anything to prove to you, Dave, or anyone in this town." "Well, let me tell you something! I hate this town with all it's little story telling fools, and I'm telling you that I'm going out there, with or without you, Stacy! Now, if you want to stay here, fine! But I'm going out there first thing in the morning! No, to hell with that! I'm going out there right now!" "Debbie, it's gonna be getting dark in about 2 1/2 hours, and that ain't no story. Are you that crazy to go out there now or what?" "Stacy, I'm going home and change. And then I am headed out into that forest to show you and everyone else that there is not a damn thing wrong with that forest." Dave and Stacy watch as Debbie storms out the D.Q. and they both wonder if she is really going to go out into the forest now. "Dave, do you think that Debbie is crazy enough to go out in the forest now?" "Stacy, that girl is crazy enough to do anything! And yes, I do believe that she will go out there and get herself lost like everyone else that has gone in there." "Dave, we have to stop her! She can't go out there by herself!" "Ok, I'll tell you what, Stacy. I'll go get some guys, and I'll meet you at the edge of the forest. And together maybe we can talk some sense into Debbie, and if we can't do that then I guess we could always drag her ass back to town." "Sounds like a good plan to me, Dave. I will meet you there. I don't have to change my clothes, and I can beat Debbie there and wait for her to show up. And by then you and the guys will show up." "Alright. Let's go! I should be there in 30 minutes, but if I am late, follow her, and leave some kind of marks in the ground so we can follow you." "Alright, Dave. But please hurry, ok?" Stacy and Dave both race out of the D.Q. and both of them take off in their cars. Stacy heads off west towards the forest, and Dave heads east to round up some of his friends so they can try to stop Debbie for doing something that she might regret. As Stacy heads out of town she really does want to go out into the forest, but on her own terms, and not on a dare, or because she wants to make a point to someone. As she comes up around the bend in the road she can see the dirt road off to the right that leads into the forest and the small camp ground parking lot. With a feeling of dread she heads down the small dirt road. Stacy pulls into the small dirt parking lot and waits for Debbie to show up. Debbie is heading for the forest with a wild look in her eyes, a look like she wants to show this little small town that they don't know anything about anything. As she turns on the dirt road she starts to feel this rush run through her, and she knows that she can't turn back now, or everyone will think she is scared. As Debbie pulls up to the dirt lot she can see that Stacy is waiting for her. Debbie pulls in next to Stacy's car and jumps out, and the two begin talking. "So Stacy, are you ready to go with me, or are you just here to wish me luck?" "Well, Debbie, to tell you the truth, I was gonna try and talk you out of this. I mean, this is crazy and so unlike you, don't you think?" "No, I don't! I am so tried of this place and these stupid little people here! They don't know anything, and yet they can make up some wild ass story about this forest, and they want everyone to believe them. Well, I for one am not gonna fall for it. Now, are you coming or not?" "Well, I ... I ... God, Debbie! I just don't know about this!" "Look, Stacy. You can stay here for all I care, but I'm going, and I'm going right now!" And without another word Debbie takes off past the front of their cars and into the forest. Stacy is looking around for Dave and wondering where he could be. But she remembers that he said that if he should happen to be late that she should follow Debbie but leave some kind of trail that he and his friends could follow. With that in mind Stacy looks up at the sky and can see the sun sinking fast. Stacy takes a deep breath and heads out after Debbie, and she is hoping and praying that everything she has heard is just a lie. "Hey Debbie! Wait up, will ya? I'm coming with you, alright? Just wait up! Debbie! Come on, wait up please!" "Alright, Stacy, hurry up! I don't have all night, you know!" "Debbie, I still don't think this is a good idea. Maybe if we come back tomorrow, we could-" "Stacy, no! I am gonna do this now, so either come on or go back to your car and wait for me! It makes no difference to me which one you do." "Christ, Debbie! You know I'm not gonna let you go in there alone. So we might as well get this over with." As the two young explorers head off into the forest the trees are starting to block out what is left of the day, and Stacy is getting a little nervous. But she doesn't want to leave Debbie alone in here and wonders where the hell is Dave at that with the troops. As they walk farther into the forest, the trail is getting dense with fallen trees and bushes, and then it happens: The trail splits into two trails. "Ah, shit! Debbie, the trail goes right and left now. What do we do?" "You go right, Stacy, and I'll go left. That's what we do." "Are you crazy? Coming in here with you was one thing, but going off on my own is out of the question!" "What's da matter, Stacy? Are you scared?" "Damn right! I'm scared, Debbie! What if there is some crazy psycho in here just waiting to pick us off as we spilt up?" "Jesus, Stacy! You have been watching to many horror movies! There in no psycho in here. In fact, there is nothing in here. And now, if you don't mind, I have a trail to explore and so do you." "Screw this! I'm outta here Debbie. You can do what you wanna do, I ain't the one to get a knife in my back out here." "Yeah, whatever, little girl. I'll see you tomorrow!" And with that Debbie takes off down the left trail and leaves Stacy standing there with her mouth wide open. Stacy knows that she has to do something to slow Debbie down, but what? And where in the hell is Dave? It's been almost 45 minutes now, and still no show. As she looks up she can barely see Debbie anymore, and thinking the worst, Stacy bites her lip and heads down the right trail. Debbie is walking at a pace that most people would call light run. She wants to prove to people that there is nothing wrong with this forest, and prove to herself that she can do this with or without help. As Debbie comes around a bend in the trail she can see that it slopes down towards a small stream of some sorts. As she looks at the small stream that is only 4 feet across, she can see that the trail continues on the other side. Seeing no other way around to the other trail she comes down to the stream and makes sure that it's not too deep, and seeing that it's only about a foot deep she starts walking across. Stacy, is worried and looking around the forest like crazy. She is worried about Debbie and worried about Dave. Maybe he got in a accident trying to get here in time. Maybe he couldn't get anyone to come with him, maybe they were all to scared to come here. So many questions and not enough answers. As Stacy comes up over a small hill she stops and looks down at the trail and can see that it goes down, levels out and goes to the left. Stacy remembers that Debbie took the left trail, and with a little luck it will take her straight to Debbie. With new found hope Stacy is not scared anymore and heads off down the trail. As Debbie starts to make her way across the stream her feet sink into the muddy bottom, a little too muddy for this small stream to make but she continues forward. After two more steps her feet sink a little more, and she can't pull her feet up. The more she tries to pull her feet out the more the muddy stream seems to suck her in. "God, this is just great! I'm stuck in some small ass stream! This has got to be a joke! I can't let Stacy find me like this, she'll never let me live it down." So Debbie pulls harder on her feet, and the more she pulls the more she is drawn in. She sinks up to her calves, and then she stops sinking altogether. "Hell about time! Now to get my sorry ass out of here!" It takes Debbie about five minutes to get herself unstuck, and she thinks about what she should do; go straight, go left, go right, or turn around? Well she went left before, and looking at the ground to her left it looked a lot more stable then what was in front of her. So left it is. Stacy makes it down the hill, and the trail starts to turn to the left. As she starts to go with the turns she looks down and sees that the trail goes through some high reeds and cattails. Not liking what she sees, but knowing that there is no other way around them she takes off walking through them. About half way though the reeds, Stacy hears a noise, like someone stepping on a branch. Not even looking back Stacy takes off in a dead sprint looking for Debbie. The ground is hard to run on because it has turned to mud, but Stacy has no intentions of sticking around to find out what made that noise. Debbie is making her way down the small stream and thinks it was better to get out of the water and walk on the shoreline. As she makes her way to semi dry land she can hear a noise behind her. With her heart pounding she starts to run for the shore. Just as Debbie makes it to the shore she hears a scream. Stacy is running for her life and takes a glance behind her to see if the noise is catching up to her. But as she looked back she didn't see that the trail took a steep decline, and when she hit it she tried to stop but fell off to the right and into something that she thought was just a small mud hole. But to her surprise her feet just kept on sinking and sinking. The more she tried to pull her feet out the deeper she sank. That's when she started screaming. "Stacy! Stacy, where are you? Answer me, will you! Stacy, this ain't funny! If you're trying to scare me, I'm gonna kick your ass, do you hear me!" As Stacy tries to pull her legs out of the mud she looks down and can see the air bubbles the ground is releasing, and knows now why she cannot pull her legs free. She has landed in quicksand. "Debbie, help me! Debbie, I'm trapped! I'm trapped in quicksand! Please, hurry! Debbie, can you hear me?" "Stacy, where are you? Please answer me! Where are you?" "Debbie! Why don't you answer me? I need your help, please! I'm sinking!" Stacy is up to her waist and the quicksand is tightening its grip on her, not wanting to let her go ever. As Debbie comes down a small hill she can hear Stacy's scream even louder. Debbie feels that Stacy is just around the next corner and breaks out in a full sprint to help out her friend. "Debbie, please answer me! I need your help! This stuff is thick and sticky, and it's pulling me down! God, help me!" As Debbie comes around the turn she can't stop in time, and her feet slid into the quicksand and down she goes. "Shit, shit, shit! Stacy, I'm sinking! I'm sinking in quicksand! If you can hear me, I need you now!" "Debbie, please! God, help me! The quicksand is just below my breasts and still sucking me down! Debbie, where are you?" "Stacy! I can't get my feet free, and this stuff is relentless! It won't let me go! Stacy, I need your help!" "Debbie! The quicksand, it's to my neck! Please, God! I don't wanna die, not like this! Debbie, please come help me!" "Stacy! The quicksand, it's got my knees! Now, maybe if I put my hands in I can pull my legs free and get out of here and find you!" "Debbie, I don't know where you are, but the quicksand is up to my glubbb-" "No, no! No, Stacy! My arms! My arms are caught! I can't pull them out of the quicksand, and the more I try the more I sink! Stacy, please! I need your help! I can't get out of here! The quicksand, it just took my waist, and I'm still sinking! Stacy, please! This isn't funny anymore! I'm up to my chest now! Please, I'm sorry! You were right, and I was wrong! Please, help me! Stacy, the quicksand, it's glupp-" "Sink one to sink two, do you copy?" "Sink two here, go ahead sink one." "Stacy sank in the quicksand. What about Debbie?" "Dude, she put on one hell of a show! I think you're gonna like what you see." "Dave, do you think that anyone will ever find out what we do out here?" "I don't think so. After all, this a small town."
