The Silent Voyager by Illegal Eagle (f, qs, mast) It started out as a routine cruise around the Gulf of Mexico, but Nancy never knew it would end up in chaos. She was taking a week off from the stress of her job as an English Professor at UCONN. So far her vacation was excellent, her stay at the Eagle's Nest penthouse in Marco Island, FL was nice and quiet, the sun was out everyday and she got a nice golden tan while basking on the beach checking out all the men. At night, she would spend an hour in the hot tub outside the hotel just to relax and let the hot water sooth her skin. 'This /is/ the life,' she thought every night sleeping in the waterbed. It was Friday and Nancy decided to rent a speedboat for her last weekend at the resort just to go cruising around the Gulf and perhaps around the peninsula of Florida. She drove the car she rented to Mark's Sail and Speed Rentals. She parked the car and went into the office. "Hi I'm Jim, can I help you?" a man said from behind his desk. "I'd like to rent a speedboat for the weekend," Nancy said looking out behind him at the marina. "Well, you're in luck!" Jim said getting up from his desk. "We got one left, all the others are reserved." They walked out of the office and down to the marina. "So I take it you're from out of town," Jim said. "Yeah, I'm from Connecticut. I'm a professor in the English department at UCONN." "Oh, a Husky fan, huh? They played good last season." "They played /well/ last season." "I thought you were on vacation from work," Jim said and they both laughed. They walked down the dock to a 24' Sea Ray Sun Dancer tied up with it's canvas top on. On the bow, the words /Silent Voyager/ in black cursive letters with gold trim reflected in the clear water. "Here it is. This is the last one. Her top speed is 70 knots, got an AM/FM, CD Changer, full inboard cabin with refrigerator and shower, fold away table and console. The canopy automatically folds away electronically. Even has a GPS Satellite Location system in case you get lost." "I'll take it," she said. "Okay, let's go back to the office and go over the rental agreement." They walked back into the office and Jim pulled out a yellow folder from his desk. "Here's the rental agreement. Now insurance for the boat comes to an additional $50. The insurance covers theft, fire, and any accidents you may have. State law says you automatically have to purchase it. The boat itself is available for $39.99 per day plus $.10 for every additional mile. All I need from you is a driver's license, a credit card, and your signature at the bottom of the page." Nancy opened her purse and pulled out her wallet. She popped the button and opened it. She pulled out her Connecticut driver's license and her American Express card and handed them to Jim. Jim got up from behind the desk and walked over to his credit card scanner next to the cash register while Nancy read over the rental agreement and signed it on the bottom. Jim walked back to the desk and pulled out a set of keys from the top drawer. Then he took the rental agreement and tore off the back page. "Okaym everything is in order, here's your copy and the keys. Have a nice trip," Jim said. "Thank you, I will. Have a nice day!" Nancy said getting up. She walked out of the office not noticing Jim admiring her rear as she walked out the door. Nancy walked back down the dock and opened the canvas top of the /Silent Voyager/. She stepped inside the boat and walked over to the captain's chair. On the console, she found a little gray button bearing the word /canopy/ and two arrows pointing up and down. She pushed the down arrow and the canvas canopy began to open up. The sun shined all across the white fiberglass body as Nancy pulled off her UCONN T-shirt and let her jean shorts hit the floor of the boat revealing her two piece red and white checker style bikini. She kicked off her sneakers, stepped out of her shorts and walked out of the boat to the dock again. She walked out alongside the boat to the rope holding it in the front. She the unwrapped the rope from the cleat and tossed the rope on top of the hull. She walked back and got back onboard. She went back to the captain's chair and put the key in the ignition. She turned it, and the engine cranked over and hummed away. She went back to the bow and untied the rope in the back. She pulled it inside the boat and walked back to the chair. She grabbed the throttle lever and the /Silent Voyager/ was on the move. She pulled out of the marina at five knots and when she was out far enough, she let the throttle out all the way. "Yeahoo!" Nancy shouted as the /Silent Voyager/ took off like a rocket at 70 knots. She felt great. Boats passing on the sides waved to her as she rocketed by them. Coming up on a fishing trawler, Nancy happened to notice one of the fishermen mooning her as she came by. Nancy smirked and when he looked up he was greeted by Nancys middle finger waving in the air at him. The sun was setting now right in front of her and a large cloudbank was creeping up from the South. Nancy wasn't worried. Her father used to take her out on his boat off Cape Cod in the summer. Once they ended up coming back in a bad hurricane that hit southeastern New England but managed to get back with no problems. The clouds were moving in fast and Nancy decided to turn around back to port. She slowed the /Silent Voyager/ down and began to turn around, but the engine was making a rather loud knocking sound. Then she heard a loud crunching sound and smoke began to seep out from the cover of the inboard motor. The engine stalled out and the /Silent Voyager/ was now adrift and disabled. "Oh, shit!" she said to herself. "What the hell's wrong?" She pulled open the cover for the motor and thick black smoke poured out. Then in a millisecond, flames began to rise from the fuel still pumping into the engine and began to eat away at the fiberglass surrounding it. The fire was getting out of control and Nancy knew she wouldn't be able to save the boat. She ran over to the side and dove into the water. She resurfaced and watched as the /Silent Voyager's/ fuel tank ruptured and the entire boat exploded. Nancy looked around and noticed the clouds had now covered the sky and small drops of rain began to fall. The glows from the /Silent Voyager's/ burning parts revealed a small piece of land about four miles off to the South. Grabbing hold of what was left of the captain's chair floating in front of her, Nancy began to kick her way to shore. Turning back over her shoulder, she could see the remains of the /Silent Voyager/ slowly sinking in the middle of the gulf. What seemed like forever was actually three hours of labored kicking and breathing. The rain became harder and harder, it felt like tiny needles stabbing her back, arms and head while she kicked her way to shore. She was determined to at all costs and finally she made it. She let go of the captain's chair and crawled up the sandy beach and up to the grass where she lied down on her back and closed her eyes. While she was asleep, the tide came in and took the captain's chair back out to sea. The sun was at about nine o'clock when Nancy woke up. She sat up and could see nothing but water in front of her. The /Silent Voyager/ was gone and Nancy had no idea where she was. "What a great vacation," she said sarcastically. "Well no sense sitting here pouting. I'm hungry and I'm thirsty. I better find something to eat and look for water." Nancy stood up and shook off the sand that clinged to her body and bikini. She then walked up through the grass and into the tree line. Occasionally her bare feet would step on a thorny branch and she'd curse aloud. It had been twenty minutes and Nancy was beginning to feel like it was hopeless. Then when she was getting nowhere, she heard it. Water rushing a very fast speed. Excitedly, she ran towards it. There it was, a thirty-foot waterfall of natural spring water crashing down into a small pond below. "Thank you, God!" she said and ran over the grass and dove into the pond. She came above the surface and found out that diving in wasn't a good idea. The current in the pond was so strong it was dragging her away from where she jumped in. She used what little strength she had left in her arms and legs and tried to swim back but the current was too strong. She was moving back towards the shore, but the current was dragging her further down. The pond converted into a stream and pulled Nancy down it. Finally she managed to get close enough to shore again that she could put her feet down on the bottom. The ground underneath was a bit slimy from algae and a little muddy. She walked out of the water and onto a pile on the shore. It felt like she was walking on broken glass. As fast as she could, she crossed over the rocks and got onto the grass alongside the stream. "Alright, let me get my bearings here," she said and followed the stream back to where the waterfall was. The grass changed to a muddy bank when Nancy saw the waterfall again. The mud felt good on her sore feet. She had taken five steps when her right foot sunk in above the ankle. Her next step sent her left foot down to her mid-calf. Off balance, Nancy dropped her right leg in at the knee. "What the hell's going on here?" she said. She tried to pull her right leg out, only to drive her left leg down to it's knee as well. She tried the left leg and her right leg sunk in to her mid thigh. "Oh this is great! Another high point in my day." Nancy stopped moving now and noticed not only was she stuck, she was sinking. The quicksand had risen up over her crotch. In a way it felt arousing to her. The soft mud filled up the inside of her bikini bottom and made Nancy moan aloud. She could still feel it rising above her hips, but it felt so good, that Nancy just licked her lips, reached behind her and undid her top. She took it off and tossed it off into the grass. She grabbed a handful of the quicksand and rubbed it over her now erect nipples. The quicksand crept over her stomach and Nancy reached under the shifting sands, and under her bikini bottom and began to finger herself. At first slow and steady, but when the quicksand rose to her breasts, she did it faster and harder. She screamed in ecstasy as the quicksand rolled over her breasts and she had a powerful orgasm. Her body was totally limp now and she just relaxed. She stopped sinking and was floating in the quicksand. Leaning back, she worked out her legs, and got back on the grass. "Yes." she said. "That was definitely the high point in my day." And let out a small giggle. After a quick walk into the pond to rinse off the mud, she recognized the path she originally came out of, and followed it back to the beach. Along the way she put her top back on. When she got to the beach, she couldn't believe her eyes. Two U. S. Coast Guard Cutters and a Seawolf Helicopter were circling the wreck of the /Silent Voyager/. She jumped up and down, shouted, waved her arms, trying to find any way to grab their attention. It looked as if they were to far out to see her. Just as she was about to give up the helicopter flew over to the island to check for any survivors. Nancy was saved. After all was said and done, and the reporters took her story, Nancy caught her flight back to her life in Connecticut. In her mind however, she knew she would have to return on her next vacation.
